Ashland KY  - - The Colts come out of the gate quickly scoring 3 runs in the top of the 1st inning sending 8 batters to the plate and scoring 3 runs on 3 hits, an error, and two walks.  The lead was short-lived as the Portsmouth 23 Bluejays quickly erased the lead by scoring 5 runs in the bottom half of the first inning. After 3 innings of play, the game was knotted at 3 for both clubs. Fortunately, the Colts were able to put up runs every inning thereafter through 6 innings of play before the game was called due to the time limit.

Starting pitcher Roman Long kept working through some sloppy defense as the Colts have 3 errors on the day. Long gives up 2 earned runs on 7 hits, walks none and get 3 strikeouts in his first start of the summer on the bump. Reliever Ryan Schwartz works 2.2 innings of one-hit baseball but walks three and gives up one earned run. Closer Lucas Foglesgong works 0.1 innings and throws 2 pitches to close the door on the Bluejays.

At the plate, the Colts continue to hit the baseball ending the game with 11 hits on the day. Leadoff hitter Lane Larson sets the tone for the Colts as he belts out 3 hits (2B), scores 3 runs and has one RBI on the game. Cole Ratcliff had a hit and 4 RBIs, Kole Williams drives in 2 RBIs,  Daniel Haller (H, RBI), Bryce McWhorter (H, RBI), Ryan Schwartz (2H) and Carter Glandon (H) all contribute at the plate for the Colts in the win.

Chillicothe OH - - In the back half of the doubleheader with Portsmouth 23, the Colts weren’t ready to play as they spot Portsmouth 7 runs on 5 hits, 2 errors, and 2 wild pitches. Reliever Kyle Wingo works two innings giving up an earned run and striking out three. Closer Ryan Schwartz works three innings of 3 hit baseball to get the win for the Colts.
